Malloy Modern Magic is a family owned and operated business and was started in the garage of Doug Malloy in 1993.

Doug has loved magic since he was 15 years old and became a professional Magician, however, he wanted new products and started building his own props, then for friends, and this progressed into building props for customers.

With the help of his parents, Jim and Carol, brothers Dan, Mike and Derry (part-time), Malloy Modern Magic went from the garage to a shop in Palmdale, CA in 2000. Interestingly, each family member brought a special expertise to the business from R&D, manufacturing, advertising, computer graphics, sales and service.

Doug is now working with Criss Angel and producing props and helping Malloy Modern Magic.

Dan Malloy is our Master Builder and designer, and has hired quality people to work in our shop.

Mike Malloy is still our main source of computer graphics.

Derry Malloy helps when he is available.

Carol Malloy

Carol Malloy does sales and office administration.

In our long history, Malloy Modern Magic has spread the enchantment of magic to thousands of children and adults alike, through the memorable performances of hundreds of magicians around the world. The wonderful thing about Magic is that everyone enjoys a mystifying performance - and probably no one more so, than the Magician!

All (except the Magician) want to know “how was that done”? Well, of course, you can’t tell them – but it is fun to entice them! “It’s MAGIC!”
